AUDITIONS

We send out audition notices for our shows by email a couple of weeks before the auditions. If you are not already on our list, to be notified by email of future auditions and shows, sign up for Audition Notices.

McLean Community Players is an all-volunteer organization. There is no pay for performers.

MCP is an excellent group to audition for. All parts for every show are open. None are ever pre-cast. You need not be a member of MCP and do not need to pay to audition. NOTIFICATION: Generally everybody who auditioned is notified only after callbacks, if any, which after all are only used to resolve questions a director might have about which of several people they want for a given part. For those people and roles where the director is certain, they often might decide not to invite them to callbacks, but still wait to notify everyone who has been accepted.

And then occasionally an actor doesn't accept an offer of a part, so then the director needs to invite someone else. Naturally it would be awkward if that someone had already been notified that they did not get a part.
