Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm at the Alden Theatre May 1, 1992 - May 21, 1992
Auditions:   --   (TRI)

I first worked with Dinnie on a 1992 production of "The Importance of Being Earnest" at Trinity Methodist Church in McLean. The production was the last that some of us who would later found CAST did at the church.

We did "Earnest" in the round. Dinnie did the set. Memorably, she created a gazebo that my crew could put up and take down in under 90 seconds. Jim Farmer was my crew chief who made the magic scene change happen every performance.

The Washington Post theatre critic wrote that it was the most elegant production of Earnest he had ever seen anywhere.

Columba Hoban Brumby played Lady Bracknell, a role she reprised later for MCP. Jennifer Farmer played Gwendolen, which is how we talked Jim into being crew chief. I was stage manager.
