Show lasts about 2 hours, including intermission.

Reviews:
  • Evan's adventures in middle school do take some interesting twists and turns, and the writers portray these wonder years with a mixture of affection and warm-hearted satire. DC Metro Theater Arts
  • ... kids populating McLean Community Players’ bouncy production of 13 are, to a player, precocious (if not polished) and, as a group, highly entertaining. Maryland Theatre Guide
  • laugh-out-loud take on pre-teenagers’ struggles with popularity, loneliness and moral quandaries. Brian Trompeter -- Inside NoVa

As a charitable outreach component to “13,” we will collect non-perishable donations to benefit Alternative House, a teen emergency shelter located in Vienna. A collection box will be in the lobby for the first two matinee performances of the show (2/1 and 2/8), to allow audience members to deposit donations. The "wish list" items include small denomination gas cards, Metro cards, gift cards for groceries (amounts as small as $5, $10, perhaps up to $25); diapers; baby wipes; paper products (toilet paper, plates, towels); toiletries (shampoo, conditioner (including conditioners and other African American hair products), toothbrushes) and hats, scarves, and gloves.

Through a cooperative agreement between The Metropolitan Washington Ear and The McLean Community Players, along with the support of The Alden Theatre at The McLean Community Center, audio description services for those with vision challenges will now be provided for each play during this MCP season.
