Contributions. The Reston Triathlon, operating since 1984, is a non-profit organization run by a board of directors composed entirely of volunteers. For safety and success, the race relies on local volunteers and organizations, including local boy and girl scout troops, high school track teams, police, medical and other personnel. A portion of each athlete's registration fee is donated to these groups to thank them for their efforts. If you would like to show your support for our local volunteers by donating an additional sum at registration you may click to designate a special gift for those groups.

USAT (USA Triathlon) membership is mandatory for acceptance into this race. One-day licenses are available as shown above. Annual applications are available from USAT on their web site: www.USATriathlon.org

Waiting List and Refunds: Unfortunately we are not able to offer a waiting list or refunds, except as noted below for cancellation.

No training in Lake Audubon: Swimming in all the Reston lakes is illegal except by permit. Training in Lake Audubon may jeopardize our use of the lake for the triathlon and the running of the triathlon. Therefore as a condition of the acceptance of your registration, the Reston Triathlon directors reserve the right to revoke the registration without refund for any triathlete violating this prohibition.

Cancellation: If the race or any portion of the race must be cancelled due to weather, unsafe lake conditions, or any other reason, see the imAthlete refund policy. Race packets and premiums will be distributed at packet pick up.

Packet Pickup : Location for packet pickup will be available on our website and will be announced with your race acceptance. Pickup will be from 11:00 am until 3:00 on Saturday, the day before the Sunday race. You must show ID at packet pickup. (No ID = No Race)

You must pick up your packet yourself. No one else can pick up your packet for you. Photo ID, and a valid USAT annual or one-day license are required to pick up your packet. There will be no packet pick up on race day. No substitutions or registration transfers are allowed. False entry under another person's name is an automatic lifetime ban from the Reston Triathlon and will be reported to USA Triathlon for appropriate USAT action.
