The entire Shipp family came across the finish line one after another. They called it a "once-in-a-lifetime" occurrence.
The five participants who had completed all 20 Reston Triathlons were recognized and given an award: Neil Medoff, Terry Smith, Joe Stowers, Rick Uhrig, and Tom Voeller. All five of them lived in Reston.
Triathlon Contributions: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, South Lakes High School Track Team.
